New Collection: Beneath The Surface
Nature changes, and so do we.
’Beneath The Surface’ explores my connection to nature and plants. They remain a constant source of comfort and inspiration, particularly since my mother passed away. Whenever I paint landscapes or flowers, I feel a strong pull to the memories of my mother, to my home in NZ and to the comfort I found in the natural world during my childhood and when I was grieving.
Through my art, I seek to capture the dualities of life—growth and decay, strength and fragility—and honour the lasting impact that nature has had on my personal journey. I hope to challenge the viewer to consider their own connection to the world around them.
The collection captures the essence of spontaneity, where colour combinations and textures unfold organically, guided by instinct and the act of creation itself, shaped by our responses to spaces—new or familiar.
My art is an ever-changing dialogue with what I see, feel, and sense.
